Playa Ocotal, Costa Rica
3 km southwest of Playa del Coco, Playa Ocotal is tucked in a small cove between the hills; this is a blue-flag beach with calm surf and gray sand; swimming, snorkeling, diving, sportfishing are the main pastime. South of the beach there is a famous sportfishing area known as Blue Bay or Sail Fish. Although the beach is small, you can find a good variety of accommodation in the area, including a four-star beach resort, some small hotels, B&Bs as well as private vacation rentals.
