In the dry season day time temperature can rise up to the high 90s in still heat. If your vacation homes are on the front ridge or high up in the hills you will enjoy a cooling sea breeze.

Canto del Mar is located on the front ridge close to the ocean; it is possible to sit out on the veranda during the day and not be bothered by the heat. Some long-time residents in the community in fact prefer to have their front and back doors kept opened to let the breeze through without ever needing to turn on the AC. In the evening, a breeze in the opposite direction sweeps down from the mountain; most evenings are very pleasant and you can sit outside to gaze at the stars or even have a candle lit dinner.  Check out Costa Rica Climate on this website.
