In Dominical you can experience the lushest of rainforests without going to a national park. Huge palms and gigantic trees, thick undergrowth and flourescent moss, wild ferns and flowers, they are the landscape that surrounds your vacation villa.

The hills around Dominical are covered by rainforest vegetation and you can enjoy nature walks and spot the wildlife without a guide. However, the best place to go to learn about rainforest and the local wildlife is at the Hacienda Baru Wildlife Refuge, where guided tours can be taken throughout the day;  you can even stay overnight and experience the nocturnal wildlife in their campsite in the jungle or on the beach.
