Surfing is Tamarindo’s top attraction, and there are a few other famous surfing beaches not far from Playa Tamarindo itself. You can find good and consistent waves in Playa Langosta, Playa Grande and Playa Negra. You can always get the latest surf information at the local surf shops, where good tips and advice flow freely. Conditions vary a bit depending on the time of year you are here. But low season or high, the surfs are always up in Tamarindo.
