Uvita is located in the heart of the Ballena National Marine Park, plus there are four other national parks and a private wildlife refuge which can be visited within a day.

Besides the Ballena National Marine Park, from Uvita you can also make day trips to Corcovado National Park, Chirripo National Park, Cano Island Reserve, and to the north, you can visit the famous Manual Antonio National Park, or the privately managed Hacienda Baru Wildlife Refuge.
