What are the beaches around Uvita?

From Playa Dominical to Playa Ojochal, 15 minutes in either direction of Uvita, you will find a string of almost-deserted beaches.

Arco Beach is one of the most isolated beaches along the south coast, and is also the most spectacular with towering cliffs rising straight up from the sand. Ballena beach, together with Ballena island, forms part of the Ballena National Marine Park and is the starting point of many water tour activities. Playa Pinuela is a well-maintained small fishermen beach at the southern edge of the Park, where the water is calm and clear for swimming. Ventanas Beach is home to a famous ‘Blow Hole’ that is an attraction in itself, a semi-submerged tunnel that creates a spectacle with the rushing tides. Other beaches near Uvita are described here.
