There is also a doctor in Dominical, 15 minutes’ drive away, who has practiced in the area for many years. Also, there is a major hospital about 25 minutes south of Uvita in the city of Cortez. There are plenty of doctors, pharmacies and clinics in San Isidro, 45 minutes inland. Medical care is good generally, and not that expensive for minor issues.
