In Uvita the vacation homes are spread out in the hills behind the highway or the town; there are no vacation rentals on the beachside of the road.

Unlike Dominical where vacation rental guests can walk down from the Canto Del Mar villas to the beach in 5 to 15 minutes, in Uvita the vacation homes are not within walking distance to the beaches. The only accommodations on the beach are backpackers’ places or beach shacks. You will definitely need a rental car. By car, you can access a dozen beaches all within 10 to 20 minutes’ drive.

Several car rental companies are based in Uvita. You can rent a car locally or book one prior to your arrival online and have it ready for your arrival at the International Airport.
