3 km southwest of Playas del Coco; Playa Ocotal is tucked in a small cove between the hills; this is a blue-flag beach with calm surf and gray sand; swimming, snorkeling, diving, sportfishing are the main pastime; south of the beach there is a famous sportfishing area known as Blue Bay or Sail Fish.
