About Quepos, Puntarenas, Costa Rica
The 7-km stretch of paved road connecting Quepos and Manuel Antonio is lined with hotels, bars, restaurants and stores...
175 km from the Juan Santamaria International Airport, Quepos is a hub of both commercial and tourist activities, thanks to its proximity to Manuel Antonio National Park and an important regional airport located just 4 km away. The town is compact; it is easy to walk around and find everything you need, such as travel and tour agencies, internet cafes, supermarkets, sodas, fast foods, taxis and public buses. In the high season the restaurants and bars come alive with tourists mingling with a sizable number of expatriate residents who call this community home.
The 7-km stretch of road connecting Quepos and Manuel Antonio is lined with hotels, bars, restaurants and stores, and a variety of low-budget hotels and hostels are found in Quepos town. However, Quepos is not short of quality accommodation; there are reasonably priced vacation rentals that are within walking distance to town, and estate villas located slightly uphill with private pools and ocean view. With an international marina project now underway to cement its position as a world-class offshore fishing center, Quepos expects to see accelerated tourism growth in the coming years.
