What National Parks and Reserves are near Dominical?
Corcovado National Park, Ballena National Marine Park, Chirripo National Park, Cano Island Reserve, Manual Antonio National Park and the privately managed Hacienda Baru Wildlife Refuge are all easily accessed.
Nearly a third of Costa Rica's territory are protected as national parks or wildlife Refuge, providing a sanctuary for the greatest density of flora and fauna species in the world. It is no wonder that this tiny nation has come to be known as the greenest country on earth, and nowhere in Costa Rica is the 'greenness' more pronounced than in the protected areas in the Southern Pacific region, including Corcovado National Park which National Geographic Society recognized as the most biologically diverse spot on earth.
