Between Playa Guapil to the north and Playa Ventanas to the south, Dominical offers a dozen main beaches before counting the smaller beaches and coves; each is different and unique.

Within 10 to 15 minutes drive from Dominical to the north you will find the entry to GUAPIL BEACH and  BARU BEACH.  The main beach that is adjacent to Dominical downtown is PLAYA DOMINICAL. A few kilometers south of Dominical you will spot the signage for PLAYA  DOMINICALITO, followed by SAN MARTIN BEACH and PUERTO NUEVO BEACH. There are 3 separate entrances from the coastal road to HERMOSA BEACH. From Uvita downtown you will find the access road to Bahia Uvita where UVITA BEACH is. Past Uvita you can drop in at COLONIAL BEACH and BALLENA BEACH, and from Ballena Beach you can hike over to ARCO BEACH over the headland. A little further south just before Ojochal town you can turn off into PIÑUELLA BEACH and VENTANAS BEACH. Then opposite Ojochal itself you will find the road to PLAYA TORTUGA.  These beaches are described in some details under Southern Pacific Activities and Attractions.
