Playa San Martin is a small hideaway beach that may be just the right spot for a romantic picnic or a solitary sunbathing session. It is not suitable for swimming due to many rocky outcrops, but it's alright if you just want to cool off with a dip.

You can find it by taking a short path from the main coastal road situated next to a private gated house about 6 km  south of Dominical; there is a beach sign for 'Playa San Martin' but this sign is very easy to miss unless you slow down.  The path descends to a grassy patch with a Tico house on the right; in front of the house is the beach, which is nice for quiet times and reflection.
