Not all vacation homes come with TV and Internet; look for the amenity symbols in the listing. Cable or satellite TV is now widely available in the Dominical area, but some villas exclude TV by purpose to create a true 'getaway' feel.

Where cable TV is not available, a DVD player is usually offered instead. If you plan to bring your own movies, make sure they are compatible with the Costa Rican system.

Internet is another story; very few villas are able to offer this service. There are several Internet Cafes in town, a short distance away. Prices vary but are about a US$1.5 an hour.
