Traveling to Nosara, Costa Rica
Away from the beaches and modernity, Nosara is a typical farming community with little touristy appeal, apart from a disco that attracts the young crowd. However, this is where bus loads of tourists fly in daily from San Jose to get to Playa Guiones, Playa Pelada and Ostional Wildlife Refuge, among the many attractions and activities Nosara is well known for.
On the road to Nosara just after Playa Pelada, a gas station and a bank are on the right, and behind them, a large hardware store and a corner shop selling animal food. From here Nosara is about 3 to 4 kilometers.
Located at the edge of town, Supermarket Nosara attracts a steady stream of customers all day long. Shortly after the supermarket, the airport runway comes into view behind steel fences.
On a corner lot a bungalow advertises beauty salon services, and opposite that is a sheltered bus-stop. Beatle Bar and Rancho Tico Restaurant are next just before we turn into the town square, now on the left we have a church, Cabinas Aggnel and Cabinas Gozami. Then sadly an eyesore, a four-story unfinished building, like a failed hotel or condo project of some kind, stands abandoned opposite the soccer field. Behind the soccer field is the community school, and in front of it, Bambu Bar and Disco Tropicana at the corner. Round the corner, the airport office, police station, post office and library are further down the road.
To differentiate vacation rentals on Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada from other rental properties in Nosara that do not have foot access to the beach, we include in Nosara Vacation Rentals ocean view properties where a vehicle would be necessary, such as Los Tres Monitos, Ocean Heights and Vista Real del Mar.
