The house is truly a work of art. Completed in December or 2010, this ideal tropical vacation home offers a spacious open-air indoor/outdoor floor plan. It's unique architecture and original design capture Costa Rica in a way not seen anywhere else. Walk in and pinch yourself to make sure you are not dreaming.

We take pride in having incorporated materials sourced and manufactured in beautiful Costa Rica. The spiral teak stairway is the heart of the home and wraps itself around a locally grown Guanacaste tree. The railings are artistically handcrafted with local Mangrove roots and Bejuco vine. The ceiling is lined with grass mats made by skilled Mayan Indians especially for Casa Aracari. The fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and beautiful custom wood counters is the social center of the home. Create your own gourmet dinner and serve it in the dining room (seats 6) while enjoying the sunset through the jungle. Tall folding glass doors in the living room open up to one side, creating a large indoor / outdoor living space with panoramic views of the pool, ocean, Punta de Ballena and jungle.

The infinity pool with its palapa covered table and four barstools will be your ultimate hang out. Floaties are available too. Hammocks and lounge chairs are provided for your comfort in both sun and shade.

The surrounding jungle promises an abundance of tropical sights and sounds that will delight you daily. Howler Monkeys, Toucans, Parrots, waves breaking along the coastline with your chilled drink mixing in the blender define the rhythm of your daily life. Grill up some meals on the BBQ, and cozy up around the fire pit while watching the magical fire-flies buzz the toads on the lawn.

Since the house is in the tropical rain forest, rain will fall heavy at times. That is the perfect time to walk upstairs to the spacious loft where you will find plenty to do. Pick up a book or round up your traveling company and play board games. Pick out a DVD and enjoy a movie on the Blu-ray TV. Listen to your favorite music on the I-home (bring your own I-Pod) or catch up with the outside world with WiFi in the jungle office (bring your own laptop). Kick back and take a nap on any of the three fold down couches, designed for Casa Aracari.

Relax on the balcony and watch in awe as the sunrise and sunsets transform the sky. Have your camera within reach as this is also the place for bird watching. Or enjoy the views from your pillow in the well-furnished and romantic bedroom. A spacious and private bathroom with custom wood counters, stone tile and walk-in shower is there for your every need. Beautiful teak floors, vaulted ceilings, mangrove railings, large windows and glass doors are part of the amazing architecture upstairs. Ceiling fans and open screened ventilation allow the breeze to cool the house to comfortable temperatures.

If you are two couples traveling, the private casita, Casa Coco Loco, offers a charming bedroom for two with its own outdoor patio, jungle views, kitchen, dining table, queen size bed, bathroom and A/C. Aracaris, Parrots, Toucans and Monkeys can easily be enjoyed from the covered porch.

Casa Aracari is located a 12-15 minute drive from Uvita and the beach. The road will take you past waterfalls, tree ferns, beautiful jungle, tropical flowers and ocean views that will take your breath away. You might do a small creek crossing if it is raining. The road is steep in places and a 4x4 vehicle is required. Welcome to Costa Rica at it's best. Let the adventure begin.
