Dining and Entertainment - Costa Rica

 - Dining and Entertainment

Thanks to the influx of immigrants from around the world and Costa Rica’s increasing popularity as a vacation destination, dining in Costa Rica is as good as virtual globetrotting - French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Southeast Asian, Brazilian, Peruvian, American and Costa Rican fusions – you will find almost anything your palette desires. While many excellent restaurants are scattered all over the San Jose area, eating-out has also become a tourist attraction in popular locations like Tamarindo, Flamingo, Jaco and Manuel Antonio. New destinations such as Playa de Coco, Puerto Viejo and Santa Teresa are also benefiting from a growing mix of nationalities and cultures.

For North American and European visitors, restaurants in Costa Rica offer incredible value for money when compared to similar establishments back home. They will also be happy to know that Costa Rica’s restaurants are clean, and health codes are strictly enforced by the health department.

When browsing through our restaurant guides, remember that restaurants can close, change names, hours, owners or menus with startling frequency, and the quality of food and service can fluctuate radically with the turnover of chefs and staff.
